I read the Starbucks article as well, I totally don't buy that its unrelated even if all they did was use reference from the original logo. Size shape color, all same. Even the name, you've never found a Star in coffee, how exactly do they just so happen to have that be consistence name to name? Starbug, Starbucks, last 3-4 letters changed. It sells because people mistake one for the other and nobody wants to read anymore. Look at soda companies, Dr Pop, Dr Pepper, people see a look alike and are sold.

Mercedes is another car company that sells it name, like Nike and Verizon. I think that branding, advertising, and promoting are the only way to overwhelm word of mouth and to make people think what you want. I do it too, although i am honest with my claims. When it comes to booking, i won't book you for the soonest availability one to give myself prep time but two, to let you know your among others making the same choice (which should be comforting ) and to also let you know you have my consideration. If you can make someone believe something, it almost doesn't even matter how valid you are.
